The first step after the break: Mriya loses to Sofia 1-2

In their first match after a long pause, FC Mriya (Hostomel) faced the ambitious SC Sofia (Sofiyivska Borshchahivka). The guests were as prepared as possible: in the first half, they not only controlled the game, but also scored twice through the efforts of Danylo Stukal. It is possible that the weather conditions also affected the course of events – a strong wind that gave the ball additional inertia.

After the break, Mriya was forced to shift its focus to defence, while trying to find chances to counterattack. At times, it seemed that Sofia had lost a little of its starting advantage, and in the 79th minute Soso Dvali managed to reduce the gap to 1-2. However, our team did not manage to fully recover.

Despite the disappointing result, Mriya gained invaluable experience that will help analyse mistakes and refine tactics. We thank SC Sofia for a great game and are ready to move on – this is just the beginning of a long journey.
