FC “MRIYA” was founded in 2023.
The first major battle in Kyiv region in February 2024 against Russian occupiers took place in Hostomel.
The city later endured occupation and liberation, but the final number of casualties is yet to be determined.
That is why the name and logo of FC “Mriya” are strongly associated with the world’s largest aircraft, the AN-225, which was destroyed in the first days of the occupation.
We exist as a response to the lack of social connections in the community of internally displaced persons (IDPs). Each participant of the club is part of a large global charitable football project, combining the roles of a fan, a philanthropist, a collective manager, and a client. Each home game of the team gathers displaced people not only on the field but also in the stands. Before and during the match, humanitarian, entertainment, and social events are held for both adults and children. Thanks to football, IDPs unite, socialize, and feel a sense of belonging and joy in life.
We advanced to the Premier League of the Kyiv region championship, and since the 2024-25 season, we have applied for the Amateur Championship of Ukraine.
