At one time, he was a quality defender, playing for Niva (Ternopil), Olimpik (Donetsk), Slavutych (Cherkasy) and a number of leading amateur clubs in his native region. I remember when he was playing for Agron, he captained that team and had a pretty strong season in the AAFU. This season, he is also playing in the Ternopil region competitions – he recently changed from Kolos Buchach to FC Plotych. Halych is an important stage of work for the 38-year-old coach.
