Head Coach – Vitaliy Shumskyi

At one time, he was a rather interesting and high-quality footballer, best known for his performances for Niva (Ternopil), Karpaty and Prykarpattia. He also had a great chance at Dnipro, but he joined the club during a period of change of eras and did not play much. Having finished playing as a midfielder and defender, he began coaching. He led Niva Ternopil, as well as PFC Lviv and MFA (Mukachevo). He worked a lot with young people – goalkeeper Kostyk and forward Nych, in particular, are his students. In general, Mykolaiv was lucky – quality coaches of Vasyl Malyk’s calibre have worked here before. Shumsky led FC Mykolaiv to a historic achievement – winning the Ukrainian Amateur Cup.
